In a foreign country it is best a)not to get stuck and b)not to start crying for your own troops to rescue you once you are stuck.
Why wouldn't they just take the Mexican rescue and pretend to be dumb tourists? Now everyone knows they're dumb highly trained professional soldiers.

The joke from a year or so becomes reality!
The good news - Britain says it is sending troops to the Gulf.
The bad news - Mexico doesn't know what to do with them.
(only it was a different country sending the troops)
