What does, in your opinion, differ an excellent race from the average one? In my opinion it’s a concept. Since I’m not a pro I don’t know much about all that stuff, but all I know is that I like watching a bicycle race through beautiful French mountains or a marathon along the ocean line. What do you think about interesting race concepts? What does a race must have in order to be interesting?

You have the excellent point! Scenery and natural environment are very important factor in organizing a good race. It would be quite boring to watch a bicycle race through some dull and uninteresting areas. People like going to different places and races are not only there for the sake of sports achievements, but they also help people get to know different countries, cities and various cultures. The sport also has the component of getting people closer to one another. So, an interesting race concept would mean that a race has to be in an interesting place which has lots of tourist and cultural attractions. The participants should have enough time before and after the race to meet and socialize. The route should also cover interesting and scenic environment. The organization has to be excellent and I guess that prizes have to be satisfactory as well.
