I have to meet with the Sgt. for use of force training this morning, then go to City Hall for benefits orientation. More study of codes & ordinances this afternoon, possibly go on a few calls.
I think it's going to be a long day. Thankfully, I'm off the next three.

I'm here. I checked on Thursday and Friday to see if I could get today off. I was told no, that the full allotment of leave spots had been given out.
It appears that people WHO HAVE COME IN TODAY are now asking for the rest of the day off and getting it. I can't.
This is why I'm counting the days. Dog-f'ers.
P.S. If she sees this, LC should let everyone know why this is even more of a meaningful and thoughtful action on their part today.

Is it because of something that happened 24 years ago today?

I'm working, but I only work here until 1 pm, then go do my other job. I can do that one in shorts at home.

Did you need to put it in large type so you could read what you wrote?

I'm here.
One of our temps e-mails me this morning from home:

I was going to work 9-6 today, but I could use today off and will not
be coming in. I think we'll be okay. Most of the workload was covered
on Friday, I'll see you guys on Wednesday.

I reply,

He fires back,
| temp wrote: | I probably should have. I could also use the money, since as a temp, I don't get vacation pay. However upon debating this over the holiday weekend, wanting an extra day off inbetween this gap has prevailed.

Yeah. He's a sharp one. This is going to do wonders for his prospects of keeping his job.
