Last week was Nicholes birthday, so we got her the scooter she's been dying for. She was scooting in the driveway after I got home from work. Our driveway slopes down into the garage. She scooted down the driveway, forgot to use her brake and did a face plant into the back of my car. Luckily all she suffered was a fat lip for the evening. She's been avoiding the scooter ever since.

Owwieee!!! for Nichole....
Sounds like me learning how to roller skate when I was little....anyone else remember those clip on skates that went over your sneakers? I can remember them getting ripped off and flung across the yard the first time I fell.

That is why we haven't gotten our kids the scooter yet. Kim just started riding the 2 wheeler and Mike will be ready by the spring. I want them to master one thing before going to another

If you get through childhood without getting hurt, then you haven't had a childhood. Besides, scars are cool.

Props to anyone that can rollerskate, iceskate, scooter, cause I'm lucky I can stand up on my own two feet.
Hugs to little akern. Ouchie.

I hope she gets back on her scooter soon. Until my ACL surgery, the coolest scar I had was from skateboarding at age 10. (glad she didn't do anything to earn a scar though)

She's as good as new today. She still does this when I mention the scooter.

my daughter broke her arm a few years ago on the monkey bars. She said she was never going to go on them again. A month after the cast was off, we were at the park, and she went across them without thinking about it.
