Posted: 07/12/04 - 08:59 Post subject: Weekend Reviews
Hey Everyone!
How was your weekend?
My parents had a small combined birthday party for my kids.
My oldest had been sick all last week and finally broke her temp yesterday.
Got to the beach finally during the day for an hour.
Went to the jetty to watch the dolphins and sunset.
My mother made the best baby back ribs for dinner last night.
And went for a 6 mile run with my Dad on the island. We ran along the water and intercoastal areas around 6am. Dad kept a 9:15 pace (not bad for a 62 year old).
I can't forget to mention that I went into major RF withdrawals.

I've not had ribs in ages! I'm jealous!
Good weekend. Cleaned the house from top to bottom on Saturday. Still looks pretty good! Our 13th anniversary (of our first date) was Sunday, so hubby took me to Rooms to Go and I picked out new furniture for our den. Will arrive on the 20th. Very excited. Sunday is my birthday and we're going back to pick out a chair for our bedroom.

Drank beer friday night.
Saturday...did stuff around the house.
Sunday...watched the kids.
Little coach is sick...has had a temp all weekend.
Baby coach started to roll over on Saturday.
(I can't get him to stop doing it now)
I ran 6 miles last night at sunset. (and died, of course)
I scared a deer, on that run.
The Cubs beat the Cards last night.

Saturday was pretty uneventful. DH got off early from work (on a Saturday) for the first time in "it's been so long, I can't remember". At least a year.
Sunday...read Mystic River from cover to cover. Yep, I had nightmare. I hate creepy books.

Sat. AM went to the zoo with the family.
Sat PM-tried minuature golf with the family for the first time. JJ was good for the first hole, shot a two. Then wanted to play the whole course as fast as possible.
Abby and Hannah were not in the least bit intereted.
Sunday went to a birthday party for a fellow officer on my squad who has a daugther 3 weeks older than JJ and Abby. It was great fun
Kids had a great weekend, Dad is tired from running all around.

Stayed in most of the weekend, too darn hot and humid, save for a trip to the multiplex to see Spiderman 2 (review to be posted around lunch time)

Woo hoo! Baby Coach! Watching your baby reach those milestones is great.
I had a really fun weekend.
Had a reunion with college friends Friday night. So great to see them.
Went for a nice Sunday run and discovered a new trail.

Friday - Birthday dinner and Shopping with my Mom
Saturday - Run/meet with Andydp and the Saratoga Stryders. Ran for an hour - my longest run evah. I think I did okay... nice to run with someone! Then met the hubby at the shelter to look for a dog. The one we wanted was "gone". Wedding at 2 pm, stayed until around 8:30pm. Then a party with the hubby's friends from high school.
Sunday - Slept in. Then out on the boat with the landlord for the afternoon. Very relaxing and nice day!

Friday - Let the record show. Received: Postcard from Froggie.
Saturday - Run with club in morning. Went shopping with LC, then to the pool in the afternoon. Evening of Three Stooges and Olympic swimming and track & field trials (not associated with the Stooges. I hope.) Life is good.
Sunday - Interesting run. Home, only to fall asleep watching car race on TV (though I did stay awake long enough to see the pit-crew brawl). More swimming and track & field in the evening.

I hung out with this beautiful girl (my new niece Hallie) all weekend (who as shown here is terribly bored of our company )

It's pictures like these that make that maternal urge pinch me. "Come on, Jenn...you know you want another one..." Then I snap back to reality and thank god it's not MY baby
She's stunning, cheryl. Your sister cooked a good one.

Must've told her about mile 23 at Chicago.
She's adorable!
