Did anyone watch anything?

I had a good night off, with morning practice yesterday, and we took the kids out to eat, to celebrate Mom's new job. Got home, read books, and put the kids to bed.

I then watched The OC
and after that, started flipping around and got hooked on Whose Line Is It Anyway?

Haven't watched that for a long time...I was crying.

So, what did you watch?

Nada. I go through weird stages where I just can't get into the tv. I'll probably completely ignore the box until Survivor time.

Come on now, RTV Junkie! Just how "real" do you think they truly are? Smile

The Apprentice was a re-run. And the first several minutes of it was just a Donald Trump commercial. If The Don wanted that show to be considered reality, he should've made the teams co-ed. But then it wouldn't be as interesting, eh? And just how smart are those people, really? How long did it take for them to understand that sex sells? Those guys had no chance when it came to selling lemonade. But when the next new episode runs...

Celebrity Mole? Yep, that's another reality show. I mean, how are we supposed to figure out who's the Mole when we aren't given all the info available to those "celebrities" in the game? (You just know Dennis Rodman is the Mole. How else would he have gotten through two executions/tests? He can't be the brightest bulb in that fixture.) I'm still waiting for the real Mole to begin...you know, the one where the contestants aren't staying in posh, comfortable hotels...the one where they actually have to complete tasks in order to continue in the game? Besides, the real Mole show is more like a travel program and the scenery is great.

If you want reality, you'd better stick to watching Snuffy and the Big Blue. Mr. Green

Um, not at all. Not even the shows that claim to be real, but I digress. I have a friend of a friend on the Apprentice, watched it to see him My thoughts on the show so far: meh If I catch it again, fine, if no, I'm not crying about it.

Celebrity Mole is just funny I think. I prefer that to regular reality TV actually because these people know how to handle the camera and are decent at ad libbing. Its like watching the celebrity edition of Family Feud. I know half of it is canned but these people are entertainers, and I want to be intertained dunno I can't explain my viewing habits.

Had the Cats been playing I definitely would have been watching that instead, no worries! Mr. Green

I know. I've been told this. I think I would love it from what I hear. I'm about to get tivo (thank you best buy gift certificates) and when I do hopefully I can get in on it then.

Strangely, everyone I know that is hooked on the show are guys...I haven't seen it but isn't it sort of a '90210' for 2004?

Yeah, Kinda of a 90210 on steroids.

The adults have a bigger role on this show.
It's all pretty typical stuff...but it's done well. And the show is actually quite funny.

and yes, all the characters are beautiful.
Even the supposed "dorky" kid.

Well, I loved 90210 still watch it on weekends on FX, so I'm sure to love this. I'll let you know when I get to see it because I'll probably need some background.

They are definitely not as real as they claim to be....but hey, they are still fun.

Sidenote: Saw a reality TV thing on TV and that big hoopla scene from Joe Millionaire where they go into the woods ("The Slurp heard round the world") never happened. They added some audio from earlier that day when she'd gotten a massage to footage of the grounds. So just an example of how not real lots of the stuff we see is.

Anyway, yes I was glued to the Bachelorette. I think it may be very interesting, I like the hints that there will be some drama from the boys (is there such a thing as a catfight with guys?).

Had already seen the Apprentice so didn't watch again, but definitely looking forward to the new one tonight....although we're going out so I'm taping it and we'll watch tomorrow.
