I met with the person who is second to the owner, and to whom I would report. I would have a staffof two - three. It's a similar job to what I have done before as an accounting manager, but the title is "Controller". She did not make me a firm offer yet, but we expressed mutual interest and she also mentioned she wanted to keep the other individual on until I could start. She is to get back with me tomorrow or MOnday, after I drop off ref's and thank you notes (which I need to write now).I can do this job. It's the only opportunity to actually advance in my field down here that I will see short of commuting to Miami (80 miles each way). I hope to god she makes me an official offer, and soon, so I can get out of that hellhole my job has become. I would wager there is no drinking/pot-smoking (and the ensuing disorganization/mood swings which follow) at this company.
