It was by far the most horrible scary movie ever! The one good scene was at the hospital morgue. Otherwise, not so much.
One highlight: Selma Blair as the radio station DJ: she has an amazing voice. Truly!

You are right to stay away from Saw II. I loved Saw I (edge of my seat, blood and gore, nice twist at the end, good message to appreciate life). Saw II was definately a waste of time.
