Hyper, you mean the window that FELL OUT and damaged the thermal tiles?
DH says "If I were an astronaut, I'd be worried about getting in a glider whose window just fell out while standing upright on the pad, while this glider that is supposed to withstand going in and out of the atmosphere. I think there'd be a problem on exit and reentry."
You think?

OK, Not the window but the fuel gauge is not working. ok, that's a bit funny and sad at the same time.
on the Window issue, Maybe they didin't ask Bill Gates for permission to use Windows or thier release verion did not have a "patch" written yet.
seriously i heard that this morning about the window and could do nothing but groan at that news.

This launch is a pretty huge deal here in Nasa-ville, particularly since the wound from Columbia is still fresh 2 1/2 years later.

Yeah, the window. . . I'd be freaked out if my window fell out on the highway, hell, just about anywhere. But OUTER SPACE?!!!
OH MY GOD.
I mean, what kinda crappy caulk job are we talkin about?!!
And, boy, it sadly must keep getting harder and harder to get life insurance when you're an astronaut.
