I'm sorry. Madden is much better now that he has Michaels. I still don't like him, though.

I think Vin Scully was the greatest football play-by-play announcer ever.

I also enjoyed Madden/Summeral.

Keith Jackson "Whoa Nellie"

Dick Enberg "Oh My!"

Bob Cole, Harry Neale Hockey Night in Canada

Gary Thorne and Dave Strader ESPN

I liked him when he was still coherent. His last few years were kinda sad.
If we are talking baseball I like Al Hrbosky a lot.

I like Madden, the guy does his homework and really invented the idea of announcers actually doing any homework. I think Phil Simms is pretty good. And who can ever forget the Cosell, Meredith, Tarkenton MNF trio ..dem were da days.

During the Steeler-Titan game Dick Enberg said the following about a Titan player Defensive Lineman Carlos Hall (Arkansas)

" He was drafted in the last round, just 20 players from the end of the draft... what a delicious pick for the Titans"
