Posted: 07/15/08 - 20:17 Post subject: Pearl Izumi Shoes
I recently tried on a pair of Pearl Izumi Synchro Seek2 trail running shoes at my local shop Teton Village Sports, which also sells them on-line. I was very impressed with the overall fit of the shoe and the ratio of cushioning to flex stability. However, I only know Pearl Izumi for their biking apparel and have no experience with their shoes. The fit reminded me of an Asics Gel-kayano fit, with a little more room in the toe box. I have been trail running in Salomon XA Pro shoes and am looking for something with a softer ride, but just as much stability. The Pearl Izumi Synchro Seek2 seemed to have that feel in the store. Does anybody have experience with Pearl Izumi shoes and how they hold up on the trail and how they compare to other trail shoes. I have also run in the Montrail Hardrock (too burly for a small framed guy) and the Merrell Overdrive which I didn't care for the overall flex or stride. [/url]
