Last night my 14 yr. old son came home n went to his room n slammed the door. That's a pretty good clue somethings wrong. Usually he stays in his room a couple minutes then comes to mine and tells me what's wrong. Not last night though. He stayed in there an hour before I found an excuse to go in his room where I found him crying! He said leave him alone, he was mad. So I did. I looked in on him this morning early he was sleeping at least. He isn't up yet this morning and my older son has no idea what happened either. I just can't imagine what could be so upsetting to him. I doubt it's the girlfriend as she lives in another town and they talk on the phone but not a lot and he sees her not too often. However, he is bullied horribly too. I may need back up at the bike racks.
Being a parent is the toughest job ever.

If he's getting bullied, maybe it's time for older brother to step in and kick somebodys ass. I did it for my younger brother a few times. One reason Josh never got bullied or picked on - other kids were afraid of his older brother. It may not be the politically correct way to do things but then again, teenaged males aren't politically correct.

You may have to make him tell you... not always the right thing, but sometimes it is.... I nwever know the difference, so I always make the kidlets spill it.

Interesting you shoud say this. I just questioned older son some more. He says there is this kid who has been hitting on Jake and when Jake trys to hit back the other group of boys don't let him. Then Rob said "that's it Mom, if he hits him today, I'm gonna have to hit him!"
Honestly I'm not one who really likes physical fighting but I know teenage boyz too. I was suprised too as my 2 boyz much of the time can't stand to look at each other. But when the going gets tough, they stand up for each other. We'll see what happens.

Allz I can say is that if someone is hurting little JUs, they better get their azz kicked, or I'm coming out their and doing it myself.

And Jake knows how I am. He prolly don't wanna tell me cuz he knows I'll be going over to that kids house and telling him and his mother if he don't knock it off I'll kick both their asses.

Leave it to the big bro for a couple days, try and dig it out of your son to see whats going on, just so you know...
The worst thing my parents did was ignore the fact i was being bullied, they always just made me feel like it wasn't as bad as I thought it was... They were bully-ish when they were younger and i just don't think they understood what it was like to be on the receiving end.

I really don't know what they could have done about it, though.... what I went through was all mental abuse from classmates... hard to change.
I really don't want to think about it anymore. It was a long time ago, and still stings.
