Posted: 11/17/02 - 12:03 Post subject: Excel running log template...
Purple Hayes! I remember a post where you asked if anyone had or knew of a running log template. I found online one that is very multifaceted and useful. Anyone who is interested, go to and download:
http://www.blarg.net/~dhays/running/runlog/runlog.html
You need excel '97 or higher to use the template.
Ladies, it even will track your menstrual cycles. Microsoft's (aka satan) also has a suite at their site where you can download various templates...like weight training and specific templates for men's workout or women's workouts. Nothing compared to the aforementioned template at their site, though.
Have fun and run!
Shelly

Cool! Thanks. I'll download it when I get to work. Don't have Excel install on my home machine.

Anyone else start using this spreadsheet, I think it is awesome. I started the new month and the year 2003 already. This guy did a great job.

Go to the setup tab and change the year there. Enter your starting date on the tab as well. That will change the year to 2003 and the starting to whatever you enter it as, good this month coz, 12/1 is a Sunday. If you enter your lifetime stuff it will track that as well.

I'm giving it a trial run and it really seems like a great program except it runs really slow on my machine.

Joe, you might need to unprotect the sheet in order to change the year. The password is "dead".
PH, I checked out his website and he said that to make it run faster, undo the automatic calculations and do them manually.
Also, his name is David Hayes and he is an optometrist.

I found another training log. Not sure if I like it as much as the one Shelee found. It allows you to keep track of different types of training - running, biking, swimming. And it has pretty graphs too!
