Actually, I enjoy both...
I was thinking of this the other day though... I listen to mostly what would be considered "heavy" music...
Today's music seems more meaningful than when I was a teenager. I mean, Linkin Park, Disturbed, Tool etc... groups like that actually sing about subject matter... Compared to Poison, Ratt, Motley Crue...they all seem kinda superficial now. FWIW

I like both if you're talking Classic Rock and New Rock Alternative. I'm not into the Elvis Rock 'n Roll.
I agree with Coach...the words are very intense and full of meaning these days if you really listen to them (Linkin Park came to my mind as well).
I want to know what our younger crowd thinks (Timruns...). I can listen both ways...can they?

hmmm. something similar to that from American Graffiti, but that's not the exact quote. I give up.

If I recall back in the day, I once posted an 80s tv music quiz and you got every one right, yes?
