Posted: 10/15/03 - 10:26 Post subject: Costume Ideas
I need some costume ideas for the bestest candy holiday of the year. I started something last year with my nieces and nephews. I invited them over for a Halloween dinnah party. Last year we had "pumpkin pepperoni pizza", "crispy fingers" (they even had fingernails on them) and "eyeball punch". I plan on doing the same thing - the thing is the adults need to dress up as well as the kiddies. Last year we were all witches. So I need some sort of themed costume idea for me, hubby, MIL and FIL.

I was the count the only time I evah got to trick or treat...whoa the humanity!!!!
Hey dancer...wanna have a cool costume and look incredibly stylish at the same time?
Both of you should dress up as burglars...Wear ALL black (with the cap, gloves etc) and carry around a flashlight and khaki bag all night...
We did that last year and it rocked! plus you can steal your friends stuff and get away with it

wizard of oz--plenty of characters to choose from
my oldest daughter and her friends are being Alice in Wonderland characters to hand out candy
Pebbs and I are going out both the 30th and 31st this year, but think we will be duds and use same costumes both nights

And to make it even sweeter, 3 of our Chicago friends will be doing the same! So the starting five is gonna be off the hook down in Chi-town!

In a pinch you could always make one of your eyes black and put a big "P" on your shirt.... black eyed pea?
I'm terrible at coming up with costumes.

You could go as trash. One year we made my brother up as a bag of garbage, it was great and cheap. Just a trash bag, some newspaper and a little creativity.
