As far as the biggest flame out, I'm going to have to go with what was pointed out the other night. At that time, the entire Japanese team had won a total of ZERO medals. Zip. Nada. Nula. Cero.

PLEASE do not tell my DH this information!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, I'll try to keep it under wraps. When I see him, I'll just pretend not to know him.

FINALLY! They won a GOLD in figure skating last night!

Amazing, huh? A Silver medal and she fell twice! I was just telling my DH last night that the Olympics these days aren't like the Olympics back in the days of Nadia K (don't even ask me to spell her name - the gymnast) where you get perfect 10 scores! I just think the discipline isn't there anymore. Maybe in a few athletes but, generally, it isn't there like it used to be.

Maybe they should give out medals if you don't fall!

I'm sure that the Japanese skater doesn't care that she won her gold medal because Cohen and Slutskaya fell. I mean, it's not like she backed into the medal! She didn't fall!

And that would be Nadia Comaneci...with a "C". But...back in the days? That's only '76!
