I've tried the Wal-Mart branded stuff, Kroger's stuff and Star Kist. Kroger is at the top of my list. Star Kist tastes too much like fish.

I have gone to the foil pack, it just tastes better but I agree about starkist very fishy tasting. I especially like that I can get the foil pack without the oil.

Pardon my ignorance... but isn't tuna supposed to taste fishy?

I've always gotten the Star kist in spring water.

I love StarKist--I've been burned by some of the generic brands--they are a shredded, soupy mess or smell/look toooo much like cat food.

I love the spring water variety. I can eat a whole can with nothing mixed in. YUM!
