Atlanta metro races

This coming Saturday, Sept 16 at 8:00am the Atlanta Track Club is having another $5.00 no tee-shirt 5mile/10mile race around Stone Mountain. The race is free if you are a track club member.

Remember there is an $8.00 fee to take a vehicle into the park. But you can avoid the fee by being frugal (aka el cheapo) like me and parking in the village, which is free and then doing a warm up jog to the starting area (a little over a mile) at the train depot.

On October 22, Alpharetta has a 10k and 1/2 marathon race starting at 6:30am for the 1/2 marathon. I'm not sure what time the 10k starts but they do have different routes so the two races are not co-mingled together. Discounted fee applies prior to October 2. I'm doing the 1/2 marathon. I'm expecting nice cooler temps for this one.
