3 years ago I weighed 188# at 5' 7" I started working out (although I wasn't very smart about it) and dropped 15# pretty quickly. I found an old exercise journal today and realized that it's been 3 years, I've lost 38# and I'm in the best shape I've ever been in. It now seems like such a part of my life, I can't imagine not running or lifting.

What a great sense of accomplishment, I bet!! Good for you, Steve! Not only for you but the example you're setting for your kids. That's one thing I love about keeping some form of log or journal, you always have that to look back on.
Makes us old timers not worry so much about getting old, huh?

That's going to make you feel extra good when this year's milestone rolls around.

something special happening for me this year???
truth is, I don't feel it and many people have been telling me that I certainly don't look it. yes, 40 will be quite a triumph for me this fall.

Hey TriBob, you know I'm looking over that runningkilt site like I can't live without one of those! Not sure I can go commando in a running kilt though.

Hey Steve: That's really great news. You have a lot to be proud of.
I think commando kilting is the way. As Groundskeeper Willy says, "It's nay more than God give me, you Puritan pukes!"
